   Marksbury Solar Farm    10 July, 2021

Renewable Connections is investigating the
potential for a solar energy project in Marksbury,
Bath. Once operational, the project would supply
enough power for 4,700 homes, and save 7,600
tonnes of CO2 each year, the equivalent of taking
4,409 cars off the road.
As we prepare a planning application to submit to
Bath & North East Somerset Council, Renewable
Connections is undertaking a consultation process
to inform local communities of our proposed plans
and invite any feedback

Good-quality food at a low price Family Action and Bright Start Children’s Centre Services are running weekly Food On Our Doorstep (FOOD) clubs at three Children’s Centres to provide families with good-quality food at a low cost, while also reducing food waste.

It costs just £1 a year for your family to become a member. Once you’ve joined, you can purchase a bag of tasty food items every week worth approx. £15 for just £3.50!

To become a member, you must live or work within 15 minutes of the club and have a child aged 0–11.

Training by St Johns Ambulance staff will be arranged for members of the parish; likely to be held at Marksbury Village Hall; details will be announced.
